The .75 oz is the most commonly used weight for most applications.  The 1.5 oz is designed for more strength / higher-wind designs.  Due to lower demand, we are closing out the 1.5 oz colors - take advantage of this pricing while it lasts.

* We will check inventory as we may already have a roll length you need.  If so, we will waive the cutting fee.

Shipping:   The fabric will be rolled onto a cardboard core and then packed in a master box.  We ship by UPS.  We will prepay the freight and add it to your invoice.

Why are they called .75 oz and 1.5 oz? 

Sail cloth has traditionally been measured in ounces per sailmaker yard (28.5" by 36").  This rather strange "yard" seems to be a remnant of days long ago when weaving looms were narrower and the cloth was finished at 28.5" wide.  Historically, this is the weight of the cloth before it is finished / coated.  Today, ".75 oz" and "1.5 oz" are somewhat generic terms and do not match up exactly to the weight of the fabric.  The common weights of ripstops are 0.5 oz, 0.75 oz and 1.5 oz.
